The dense rainforest meets the sandy beach, opening to an uninterrupted view of the sea. This spectacular headland where the rainforest meets the reef is Cape Tribulation. Situated in the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation is part of the Daintree National Park within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Listed area.

The Daintree River weaves around the area around Cape Tribulation and presents the perfect place to take a cruise on the Daintree River Ferry. The Daintree River is an incredibly diverse ecosystem and home to many varieties of flora and fauna, so come prepared and keep your eyes open to spot some of the wildlife. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some fearsome saltwater crocodiles!

Stop at Mossman Gorge Centre and learn about the traditional owners of the gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people, before taking a trip up to the Gorge itself. There is natural beauty at every stop on a trip to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest; with opportunities for spectacular views and to learn about the history of the area and culture.

A four wheel drive and great navigational skills are generally required to get to Cape Tribulation and a four wheel drive due to the rough terrain. A tour is the best and safest way to explore Cape Tribulation and its surrounds, and lets you relax and enjoy the day.

Enjoy this unique experience… First stop is at Mossman Gorge Centre for morning tea, where you will join the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime walk amid the rainforest. Learn about dreamtime legends, bush tucker sources and traditional plant use with your Indigenous guide. Then onto The Daintree Tea House for a delicious lunch, before a cruise down the Daintree River to learn about the ecosystem and different flora and fauna that co-exist in this habitat.
